(BEDFORD) - Two people are facing drug charges after police found them dealing meth Saturday night out of the Budget Inn.

Bedford Police arrested 35-year-old Abel Cruz and 43-year-old Brandi Dalton, both of both of Bedford.

Both are facing charges of dealing meth more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance. Dalton is facing two counts of possession of a legend drug.

The two were arrested after Bedford Police received a tip around 8:30 p.m. Saturday that Dalton was dealing drugs out of the motel. Officers went to the motel room and Dalton answered the door. Cruz was inside and officers spotted a large plastic bag containing a crystal substance that tested positive for meth, smaller plastic baggies, Suboxone strips, smoking devices, digital scales and pills - sumatriptan, amitriptyline and orphenadrine.

Police also found a .25 and .380-caliber handgun in the room.
