Two Arrested after Traffic Stop in Orleans

(ORLEANS) - Two people were arrested last Tuesday after Orleans Police stopped a vehicle with a partially blocked license plate.

According to Town Marshal Richard Dixon, as the officer was walking up to the vehicle he noticed the distinct odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After removing the passengers from the vehicle, the officer was joined by two officers with the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The vehicle was searched and officers found a small bag and a pipe that both tested positive for meth. Police also found a Suboxone strip in the sock of one of the individuals.

Police arrested 43-year-old Trevor Spreen of Bedford and 26-year-old Michael Holiday of Springville. Spreen is facing a charge of possession of meth. Holiday is facing charges of possession of meth, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance. Both were transported to the Orange County Jail without incident.
