Kindergarten Screen Has Begun In Lawrence County

(BEDFORD) - Kindergarten screening has begun for North Lawrence Community Schools and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School.

Parents should call the school to make an appointment.

On the day of screening, parents should take the child with them to the school along with the child's birth certificate, immunization records and, if applicable, proof of custody.

Parents of students who will be eligible for kindergarten at Mitchell's Burris Elementary School should call the school office to arrange an appointment for April 10, 11 or 12. The number is (812) 849-3834.

To be eligible for kindergarten, a student must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1.
