UPDATED: Health Care Center Offers Workshop On CBD Oil

Last updated on Friday, March 23, 2018

(BEDFORD) - Doctors Karl and Joni Buch invite those that have questions about CBD oil and the new Indiana law pertaining to CBD Oil to their educational workshop every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at The Health Care Center.

"[We] talk about the CBD oil, the action on the body and teaching people about the endocannabinoid system," said Dr. Buch. Doctors Karl and Joni are Ambassadors for Zilis, a health and wellness company that sells CBD Oil among other health supplements.

Dr. Buch, along with his wife, Dr. Joni Buch, and Dr. Liza Campbell serve the Bedford community's chiropractic needs. From years of service, Dr. Buch developed a bad arthritic shoulder in which he was on meloxicam for three years, until his doctor introduced Zilis's CBD product to him as an alternative.

"Ever since I've started taking it and I've started taking it since September the 1st... I have not touched one single ibuprofen. I have not touched one single meloxicam. I have absolutely no pain in my shoulder."

Since then, Dr. Buch has become an ambassador and has seen the results of the health and wellness company's product in himself and others. The CBD Oil or even the new product, Ultra, won't cure or treat diseases, but rather they give your body a chance to bring homeostasis to the all systems of the body through the endocannabinoid system.

"In an easy way to explain it, the endocannabinoid system is like the server of a huge computer organization. If this server does not work, the 100 computers underneath the servers are unable to communicate in between. So one does not know what the other one does," said Dr. Buch.

In addition to the Health Care Center's educational workshop, the company, Zilis, is having a health symposium. This Saturday, March 24th, Zilis will host their event "Ultra Celebration" at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel at Keystone Crossing where Founder, Steven Thompson, medical expert, Dr. Derrick Desliva and special guests will dive into Zilis products like CBD Oil and Ultra and how they benefit your health and wellness.

The event is ticketed. If you would like to attend the event, you can stop by the Health Care Center to pick up your ticket.

Now Indiana residents are able to purchase CBD oil that contains .3% or less of THC, the component of the cannabis plant which causes intoxication - meaning that it can't produce a high.

The new law would require each container of CBD Oil to contain a QR Barcode that will take you to a link that will tell you when it was made, the batch number, how much CBD is in it, how much THC is in it and all the other components in the product.

Previously CBD oil was only legal for purchase to those diagnosed with epilepsy.
