(FRENCH LICK) - Electric Consumer, the monthly publication of Indiana’s electric cooperatives, is recognizing businesses and attractions throughout the state its “Best of Indiana” contest.
The magazine's sixth readers' choice contest in 15 years allowed readers to vote in eight categories. Contest categories included Indiana's best burger, campground, winery and weekend getaway.
In the latter category, Orange County's French Lick Resorts, featuring French Lick Resort and West Baden Springs Hotel, was recognized as the "2017 Best Weekend Getaway" in Indiana.
The resort communities of French Lick and West Baden have been welcoming guests for over 100 years. From luxurious rooms and spas to cabins and outdoor adventures, French Lick Resorts offers a unique experience for each visitor.
"We enjoy hearing the excitement centering on local communities in our territory. We're happy to show support for French Lick Resorts as the best weekend getaway winner in Electric Consumer's Readers' Choice Awards," said Matt Deaton, CEO of Orange County REMC.
The purpose of the "Best of Indiana" awards is to highlight the unique businesses, places, culture and countryside that make residents proud to call Indiana "home."
