Last updated on Wednesday, March 21, 2018

(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man accused of threatening people with a machete outside a local gas station was arrested Tuesday night.

Columbus Police arrested 32-year-old Marc Anderson on a charge of intimidation with a deadly weapon.

Columbus Police Lt. Matt Harris says officers were called to the Village Pantry convenience store on North Washington Street at 7:10 p.m. after a report that Anderson was arguing with customers and waving a machete in the air near the gas pumps.

Police say Anderson threatened one person with the machete before fleeing the scene.

Police found his vehicle and stopped Anderson on Washington Street where he was arrested without incident.
