Last updated on Sunday, March 11, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are warning businesses about counterfeit $100 bills.

Employees at the Burger King on West Third Street reported a man attempted to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill on Wednesday. The employee who received the bill told police it just didn't feel right.

The man who tried to use the bill left before police arrived, but police are reviewing surveillance video. The man was described as around 6 feet tall and was wearing blue jeans, a red jacket and gray hat.

Bloomington Police Department Capt. Steve Kellams says this is the fourth fake $100 bill found in the past two and a half weeks.

Capt. Kellams says two were used at Starbucks, and one was used at Subway.
