(BEDFORD) - A veteran firefighter retired from the Bedford Fire Department - Kevin Yeary - and a new firefighter was hired to replace him, 3rd Class firefighter David P. Kirts.
Bedford Fire Department Chief Jon Wagner thanked Yeary for his more than 30 years of dedicated service.
Chief Wagner says several firefighters have completed their probationary period in their assigned positions and have achieved permanent status at the department.
Those firefighters are:
Two firefighters received promotions Senior firefighter Michael Davis earned the position of lieutenant and firefighter 1st Class Brad Cummings to senior firefighter. These promotions are on a probationary basis.
