Woman Arrested Passing Counterfeit Money In Ferdinand

(FERDINAND) - Ferdinand police arrested a woman after she was allegedly found using counterfeit money on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were notified a counterfeit $20 bill was used at the Circle A station on Main Street at about 2:49 p.m.

Police located the suspect, 40-year-old Christina Willbanks of Independence, Mo., at the McDonald's on Industrial Park Road.

During the investigation, police allege they found Willbanks with six more counterfeit bills and a small amount of marijuana.

She was arrested on charges of counterfeiting, theft and possession of marijuana. Police also cited her for driving while her driver's license was suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
