Two Juveniles Arrested On Arson Charges After Setting Fire At Abandoned House

(WASHINGTON) - Two juveniles are facing arson and criminal trespass charges in connection with a house fire in Washington Thursday evening.

The pair is accused of starting the fire at a vacant home at 612 Southwest 5th Street.

Witnesses told police they saw two juveniles leaving the area just before the fire started. A short time later, police located them on Southwest 3rd Street in an alleyway.

Both were taken into custody and charged with arson and criminal trespass. They are being held at the Southwest Indiana Youth Village in Knox County pending a court hearing.
