Last updated on Tuesday, February 27, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - Climate change is the latest environmental challenge on people’s minds. Habits are learned but they can be changed if we are conscious about them.

That's what Earth Hour is all about - taking action to practice green energy habits.

On Earth Hour March 24th , in more than 172 countries worldwide, people will turn out their lights from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on calling attention to climate change.

Did you know that recycling is one of the easiest ways to reduce climate change? Recycling reduces the use of energy and pollution which affects weather.

Using LED lights reduce your energy use by 75 percent and, you can recycle them, along with CFLs. However, LEDS are more energy efficient.

On Earth Hour March 24th turn off your lights from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. Encourage others to reverse habits and go green.
