Man Arrested After Bloomington Police Find Heroin

(BLOOMINGTON) - A man was arrested at a Bloomington McDonald’s early Friday morning.

Bloomington Police were called the McDonald's at 2300 North Walnut Street at 4:40 a.m. after a report of suspicious male sleeping in a silver Chevrolet Impala in the parking lot with its lights on. The caller reported the vehicle had been in the parking lot for more than an hour.

Police arrested 37-year-old man Michael Ratliff after police went to wake him and found a syringe in plain sight.

Ratliff told police he had used heroin several hours before falling asleep. He also had more heroin wrapped in aluminum foil in his pocket.

Ratliff was arrested on a Level 6 felony charge of possession of a narcotic drug and was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
