(BLOOMINGTON) - Meet the new Girl Scout CEO - Danielle Shockey and learn about the Girl Scout Impact Study on Wednesday.
The event will be from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Service Center at 1000 N Walnut Street, Suite I in Bloomington
Danielle Shockey, a Girl Scout alumna, became the organization's chief executive officer on January 1, 2018. Shockey's experience serving Indiana's youth spans a career of 20 years.
Most recently, Shockey served Hoosier youth through her leadership role as the sole deputy superintendent of public instruction for the Indiana Department of Education. In that role, she was at the forefront of Indiana K-12 education, supporting the creation of an education system of equity and high-quality for more than 1 million students.
Shockey will provide brief remarks that morning at 8:15 a.m. about her goals for the organization and report key findings from the Girl Scout Impact Study, including the facts that Girl Scouts are more likely than non-Girl Scouts to:
