(MEROM) - Sullivan County Police have arrested 26-year-old Conner Wright of Shelburn for his involvement in a heroin death.

According to Sheriff Clark Cottom, on Oct. 14, 2017, deputies responded with fire rescue personnel and paramedics to a report of an unconscious male at a residence in Merom.

First responders attempted life-saving measures prior to transporting 26-year-old Langdon Bynum of Merom to Sullivan County Community Hospital, where he later died.

An autopsy confirmed Bynum died for a heroin overdose.

Sheriff's Detective Ron Elliott, who headed up the investigation says it took several months to establish exactly who provided heroin to Bynum.

Detective Elliott says, Wright supplied the heroin to Bynum in the hours prior to his death. He was arrested early Tuesday morning in Bloomington.

Wright is facing a charge of dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony. His bond was set at $15,000 with 10 percent allowed.
