Last updated on Monday, February 12, 2018

(FERDINAND) - A 72-acre site in Dubois County will receive a key designation later this month.

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs along with Dubois Strong and the Town of Ferdinand will certify the Mobel property in Ferdinand as Indiana Site Certified Prime on Friday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Ferdinand Town Hall, on Main Street.

The physical address of the Ferdinand/Mobel Indiana Prime Site is W 23rd Street/Industrial Park Road. The Mobel site is currently listed for sale for $2.4 million.

The Indiana Site Certified program certifies sites that are ready for economic development. Communities of any size may apply for the designation through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).

The Prime designation is the highest tier in the Indiana Site Certified program, which designates a site as ready for economic development and will be included in the Indiana Economic Development Corporation's marketing materials.
