Date Changes For Closures At Acuff/Prow And Walnut Street Interchange

Last updated on Wednesday, February 21, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - The temporary closure of the intersection of Acuff and Prow roads east of State Road 37 has been moved to March 5. Work on the intersection should be completed on or around April 15.

Motorists traveling along Arlington Road seeking to access Acuff Road will be directed by route markers to 17th Street and along Kinser Pike. Motorists on Kinser Pike seeking to access Prow Road will be directed by route markers to 17th Street and along Arlington Road.

The temporary closure of the Walnut Street/Business 37 interchange has been rescheduled to begin March 19. Crews will reconstruct the on and off ramp lanes and complete drainage and slope work. The work is anticipated to be completed by the end of April.

Southbound motorists who usually use the Walnut Street exit are encouraged to use the State Road 46 interchange to access downtown Bloomington.

The start time and duration of the closure are weather dependent, and motorists should plan for potentially longer travel times.
