Crane Army Preps White Phosphorus Rounds For Closed Demilitarization

(CRANE) - Crane Army Ammunition Activity employees unthread base fuzes from 105mm white phosphorus projectiles with a machine designed and built by CAAA engineers.

All material except the white phosphorus must be removed from the round before chemically converting the white phosphorus to phosphoric acid.
