(BROWNSTOWN) - The Brownstown Central Community School Corp. board of trustees recently approved the 2018-19 school calendar.
The first day of school for teachers and staff will be Aug. 6, and students will start Aug. 7.
School will not be in session Sept. 3 for Labor Day, Oct. 15 through 19 for fall break, Nov. 21 through 23 for Thanksgiving break and Dec. 21 through Jan. 1 for Christmas break. Students will return from Christmas break Jan. 3.
There will be no school Dec. 20, Jan. 2 and 21, Feb. 18, April 5 and 19 and May 3, but those could be used for makeup days if needed.
School also won't be in session March 25 through 29 for spring break.
The last day of school for students is set for May 24. Commencement for the Class of 2019 will be May 25 in the high school gymnasium.
Any additional days missed because of the weather will be made up on consecutive weekdays beginning May 28.
