ARRL Amateur Radio Testing In Bloomington

Last updated on Monday, February 19, 2018

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Amateur Radio Club conducts Volunteer Exam Testing for amateur radio licenses.

Testing will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 12 p.m. at the First United Church, at 2420 East 3rd St, Bloomington, just west of Eastland Plaza behind Prompt Care and IU Credit Union.

Those testing are asked to arrive 20-30 minutes early to fill out all paperwork.

The cost is $15.

Those testing will need two pieces of identification, one of which must be a photo ID.

If you are upgrading your amateur radio license, please bring your FCC license, and any CSCEs you may have, as well as photocopies of these documents along with your photo ID.

Retesting: If you fail an exam and would like to try again, you may do so if the examiners are willing to stay the extra time to give the test and you pay the $15 fee again. (Please, if you were not close to passing, don't request a retest because you would be wasting your money, your time, and examiners' time.)
