Visitor Restrictions Implemented At IU Health Bedford Hospital

(BEDFORD) - Due to the increasing number of flu cases, IU Health Bedford Hospital is limiting the number of visitors at any one time to two healthy adults in a patient room.

The policy will be in place until administrators and medical professionals at the facility determine a lower-incident chance for contracting or spreading the flu.

Signs are being posted at the facility, asking all visitors to adhere to the precaution.

The following is being requested:

Only essential family members, 18 or older, may visit.
Persons who have flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, chills or muscle aches should not visit.
Please wear a mask if you have flu-like symptoms and you are here for a doctor's appointment.
Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before entering the building.
