(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man is facing charges of arson after he allegedly set a car on fire on December 18.

According to a Lawrence County Superior Court I probable cause affidavit, Lawrence County police say 18-year-old Logan Furnace was captured on video setting a car on fire at 83 Graves Addition Road.

Police say the video captured Furnace walking from his home at 111 Graves Addition to the car and setting it on fire.

After obtaining a search warrant police found videos on Furnace's phone of the Pontica burning. When asked about the crime, Furnace stated he was sorry about the fire.

Furnace is being held without bond in the Lawrence County Jail, because he was on probation at the time of this arrest.
