Shooting Suspect In Custody

(BLOOMINGTON) - Ulysses Lewis, who is wanted on a warrant for attempted murder after he shot a man in the shoulder and neck at an apartment complex in the 3100 block of South Walnut Street Pike, Saturday, is now behind bars.

Bloomington Police, the Indiana State Police SWAT team and U.S. Marshals arrested 22-year-old Lewis in Indianapolis on Monday.

Police were alerted to the shooting in the 3100 block of South Walnut Street Pike in building A on Saturday, at 3:15 p.m.

Police found the 37-year-old male victim conscious, but bleeding from gunshot wounds. He was transported by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington and then lifelined to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
