NWS Storm Spotter Training Sessions In Loogootee on April 5

(LOOGOOTEE) - The National Weather Service (NWS) has scheduled Storm Spotter Training Sessions in Martin County on April 5th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The training will be held at the Martin County Civil defense Office on U.S. 50 in Loogootee. T

hose who attend the two hour session will learn how to better identify certain severe storm features such as funnel clouds, wall clouds, tornadoes, and various other features that can be reported to the National Weather Service or Emergency Management Agencies to help provide better warnings for their communities.

The training sessions are FREE and no pre-registration is required.
