Last updated on Wednesday, January 31, 2018

(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested after Bedford Police received a report of a man standing in the bed of a pickup truck with his pants down at the intersection of the 32nd Street and John Williams Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

Police first encountered 30-year-old Jacob Bundy at 1:23 p.m. at the corner of 32nd Street and John Williams Boulevard.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, Bundy was intoxicated.

"Mr. Bundy told the officers he was waiting for a ride," says Chief Parsley. "He was advised to stay put until his ride arrived."

Then at 3:58 p.m. police received a call reporting Bundy was standing in a bed of a truck with his pants pulled down.

"Before police arrived, Mr. Bundy got into the truck and drove to Wal-Mart," Chief Parsley added.

Officers went to the store and found Bundy coming out of the restroom.

"Because of the numerous calls and his level of intoxication, Mr. Bundy was arrested on a charge of public intoxication and taken to jail," Chief Parsley says.
