Last updated on Thursday, January 11, 2018

(SHOALS) - Martin County Sheriff’s office will be sponsoring an “Active Shooter” workshop on Wednesday, February 21, at 6 p.m., at the Martin County Community Building.

Sheriff Travis Roush is encouraging all organizational leaders to attend, especially, those that work in confined areas, such as churches, banks, schools, and other office like settings.

"This workshop will be very empowering, and we hope to equip our citizens with a skill set to increase survivability in an active shooter scenario," he added.

RSVP is not required. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
