Bedford Man Arrested After Crashing Truck

(WILLIAMS) - A Bedford man was arrested after the truck he was driving flipped into a body of water on Stumphole Bridge Road Sunday around 10:39 p.m.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 26-year-old Micah Flynn of Bedford was traveling west on Stumphole Bridge Road approaching State Road 450 when he lost control of the 2001 Ford F-150 he was driving due to road conditions. The truck went off the roadway and onto its top into a small body of water.

Flynn told police he and his passenger, who is not named in the report, were able to make it out of the vehicle unharmed.

Flynn was then arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI on a controlled substance, OWI per se and possession of marijuana under 30 grams.

The results of a blood-alcohol test are pending.
