Warning Signs For Curves Placed On State Roads 446 And 129

Last updated on Thursday, December 7, 2017

(UNDATED) - The Indiana Department of Transportation met with its contractor at Seymour District offices to review plans for a $128,130 visibility improvements/curve sign project on State Road 446 in Monroe County and on State Road 129 in Switzerland County.

Motorists may experience brief delays where flaggers route traffic around installation crews. Operations are scheduled to begin in early February, weather permitting.

Ragle Inc. is the state's contractor for installing these curve warning signs, speed signs and chevron bracket postings on S.R. 446 between Chapel Hill Road and East Pine Grove Road. The Newburgh-Indiana company will place signs and chevrons at curve sites on S.R. 129 between S.R. 56 and Moorefield Road.

Motorists can learn about highway work zones and other traffic alerts at indot.carsprogram.org, 1-800-261-ROAD (7623) or 511 from a mobile phone.
