Town Hall Meetings With Law Enforcement Scheduled In Martin County

(MARTIN CO.) - A new program in Martin County is designed to improve access to local law enforcement services.
Martin County Sheriff Travis Roush has assigned deputies to each of the county’s six townships and Crane Village in order to better address community needs.

Benefits derived from this program will include: improved security, increased communication, and safety education. Most importantly, it will promote unity between the community and law enforcement.

"This will send a clear message to criminal elements that we stand together to ensure Martin County continues to be a great place to live and raise families," says Sheriff Travis Roush.

The approach is designed to better address community needs of law enforcement services.

"Our intention is to host brief meetings, twice a year, in respective townships, in a "town hall" informal setting. The length of the gatherings will be as long, or as short as needed," says Sheriff Roush.

The sheriff, key staff, the respective township deputy, and other law enforcement officers will attend each town hall meeting with hopes of engaging the public in conversation on how law enforcement services can better serve the community.

Officers are encouraging all EMS, First Responders, and Officials to attend.
