Police Mark 5th Anniversary Of Lowell Badger Murder

(SULLIVAN CO.) - Today marks the fifth year anniversary in the homicide of retired Sullivan County farmer Lowell Badger and Indiana State Police need the public's help in solving the murder.

Badger's son found him deceased on the bedroom floor of his home at 10447 West County Road 350 North. Badger, 85, died from a gunshot wound. The homicide is believed to have occurred sometime Friday, December 7th, between 8 p.m. and 9:23 a.m. on Saturday, December 8th, 2012.

Since Badger's death, Indiana State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office have been vigorously working the case.

Electronics and other items were found missing from the residence. Taken during the burglary was a light to medium dark gray safe measuring 23.5 inches tall, 17 inches in depth, and 17 inches wide. Police say it was in pristine condition and manufactured by John D. Brush and Company. Also taken was a black 46" Sony Bravia LCD television.

A reward of $30,000 is available for the person or persons who provide information leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for Badger's death.
