(LINTON) - On Monday, a portion of State Road 54 will be closed for five days to repair a water leak in front of Dirtbuster Car Wash in Linton.
The road is scheduled to reopen around 4 p. m. December 15th. Officials say closing the highway is necessary to properly fix the leak.
On Monday water department crews will be on site to prepare the site for a shut-off valve to be installed by an outside contractor. On Tuesday, the valve will be installed in order to shut the water off in that area.
Once the valve is installed water department crews will begin work fixing the leak.
During the work days, water customers will experience low-to-no water pressure and due to the unpredictable nature of the work. If the water department must work into the evening, low-to-no water pressure will continue to affect customers.
