(BLOOMINGTON) - One man is dead and another in the hospital following an attempted robbery on Bloomington’s north side.
According to Bloomington Police Captain Steven Kellams, officers were called to an apartment complex around 7 p.m. Saturday at 1440 North Woodburn Avenue after a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found a 36-year-old black man dead from a gunshot wound and a second 36-year-old black man had also been shot.
The injured man was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Police are looking for two suspects - both black men who were wearing blue jeans, dark hooded sweatshirts and masks.
Investigators believe the men were attempting to rob the two victims of drugs and money when the shooting took place.
