Moonwalker Charlie Duke To Speak At Galactic Gathering II

(MITCHELL) - The Grissom Boyhood Home is once again hosting The Galactic Gathering for 2018 with special guest speaker, moonwalker Charlie Duke. Duke, a retired brigadier general with the U.S. Air Force and former astronaut, was the 10th person to walk on the moon.

Galactic Gathering II will be on July 20-21.

Various ticketed events will be offered throughout the weekend, as well as "for donation" guided tours and activities at the home.

There will also be various activities to participate in at Spring Mill State Park for free, as this event will once again take place in conjunction with Gus Grissom Days hosted by Spring Mill State Park.

All proceeds for The Galactic Gathering will go toward the Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom Boyhood Home, which is dedicated to restore and preserve the history of the home Grissom was raised in.

Timeline:

Tickets to the cocktail party are $30, the symposium is $75 and the photo opportunity is $50. A photo and symposium ticket bundle costs $100. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/galactic-gathering-2-faster-and-farther-than-ever-tickets-39167218204.
