Last updated on Monday, December 4, 2017

(GREENE CO.) - A Linton man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle on State Road 54 and State Road 59 Sunday afternoon.

According to an Indiana State Police report, 50-year-old Ryan Neff, was driving his 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle on State Road 54 when a Ford F350 Super Duty truck pulling a trailer loaded with two UTVs turned in front of him.

The driver, 41-year-old Michael Kindred, of Cloverdale, told police he didn't see the motorcycle when making a left turn onto State Road 59.

According to police, Neff's motorcycle hit the rear of the trailer on the right side and became lodged underneath, trapping Neff.

Linton Fire and Wright Township Fire departments were able to lift the trailer and remove Neff from underneath. Neff was not wearing a helmet.

Neff was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
