Boil Order Issued for some Southern Monroe Water Authority Customers

(BLOOMINGTON) - Due to a necessary hydrant repair, Southern Monroe Water Authority issued a precautionary boil order Monday for some residents.

This includes all customers on East Ramp Creek Road, all customers on South Lucas Road and all customers on East Mattatha Drive, as well as 6110 S. Airline Road.

Affected customers should boil all water intended for cooking and drinking for five minutes prior to use.

The boil order is expected to be in place for 48 hours, but holiday lab hours may affect this timeline. Customers can visit www.southernmonroewater.com for updates.
