Bedford Woman Arrested After Police Find Her Stumbling Near Businesses

Last updated on Monday, December 4, 2017

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after several business employees reported her causing a disturbance in the area of 17th and M streets.

Bedford Police officers responded and talked to the business employees who gave them a description of the woman.

"They located her stumbling on the sidewalk," says Chief Dennis Parsley.

Officers arrested 46-year-old Iva Chatten, of 119 Robin Hood Dr., on charges of public intoxication and possession of a Schedule V controlled substance, after police found her with two Ambien pills that she did not have a prescription for.
Police say Chatten was also wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke.
