Last updated on Thursday, December 7, 2017

(BEDFORD) - To make sure your mail and packages arrive in time for the holidays the Bedford Post Office is extending their hours.

The Bedford Post Office will be open this Sunday and Dec. 17 from Noon to 4 p.m. to help customers get cards, letters and packages to their respective destinations.

Customers also can complete passport paperwork during the Sunday hours.

Recommended deadlines for those Christmas gifts to arrive in time are:
(Dates exclude Alaska and Hawaii)

Post Office™ locations nationwide will be closed Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24 and Christmas Day, Monday, December 25th.

Blue collection boxes will not be serviced on Christmas Eve.

Priority Mail Express® will still be delivered on Sunday, Christmas Eve, and Monday, Christmas Day.

All Post Office locations will be open and resume regular mail delivery on Tuesday, December 26.

Beware of Fraudulent Package Messages

During the holidays, bogus email scams are often sent to postal customers. These emails contain false information about package delivery or online postage charges. The emails contain a link or attachment that, when opened, installs a malicious virus that can steal personal information from your PC or phone.
