Last updated on Wednesday, November 15, 2017

(HURON) - Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on US 50 West near Clark Cemetery Road on Tuesday afternoon.

As she began to turn, her Oldsmobile Regency was struck in the driver's side front fender by a Buick Lacrosse driven by 75-year-old Harold Cooper of Shoals, who was also driving west on US 50.

Cooper told police there was dump truck, driven by Richard Donaldson, between his and Davis' vehicle and as he was passing the dump truck in the passing zone and he didn't see that Davis had stopped to make a turn.

Police say the dump truck was not involved in the accident.

Davis complained of head pain. Cooper was not injured, but his passenger 75-year-old Brenda Cooper of Shoals, complained of back pain following the incident.

Davis was cited for not having insurance.
