Last updated on Wednesday, November 1, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - INDOT alerts motorists traveling through the I-69 Section 5 construction zone that from Wednesday, Nov. 1 through Saturday, Nov. 4, daytime paving operations will result in shifting traffic patterns and lane restrictions on State Road 37 between 3rd Street and the CSX Bridge.

Weather permitting, on Wednesday, Nov. 1, paving operations on southbound State Road 37 from the CSX bridge to the 3rd Street interchange will require the closure of the right lane from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Thursday, Nov. 2, paving operations on northbound State Road 37 from 3rd Street to the CSX bridge will require the closure of the right lane from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also on Thursday, the southbound deceleration lane entering the Fullerton Pike interchange will be closed for construction of sound walls. The interchange itself will remain accessible.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the right lane of northbound State Road 37 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving operations.

On Saturday, Nov. 4 at approximately 10 p.m., traffic on southbound SR 37 between the CSX bridge and 3rd street will shift to the right.

All construction activities and resultant lane restrictions and closures are weather dependent, and the schedule is subject to change. Motorists are encouraged to be aware of changing traffic conditions throughout the construction zone, but especially during daytime paving operations.
