Special Olympics Lawrence County Looking For Volunteers For Basketball Season

(BEDFORD) - Special Olympics Lawrence County is looking for volunteers and players for its upcoming basketball season.

The group is seeking these positions:

• coaches for the women's team
• an assistant coach for the men's team
• an assistant coach for a basic skills team

Training is free.

Teams practice only one day a week. The first basketball practice will be Wednesday.

Those interested in playing basketball, ages 8 and up, or those interested in volunteering can call (812) 340-0525 and talk to Bev at Arc of Lawrence County.
