Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity House

Last updated on Tuesday, November 21, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Wednesday night at a home on East Atwater Avenue occupied by members of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.

Just before 9:30 p.m. six residents told police that four people entered through the unlocked front door, pointed guns at them and told them to get on the floor with their hands behind their heads.

The suspects then went through the home gathering cash, wallets, cellphones, watches and jewelry.

The homeowner told police he noticed something strange about the gun, so he grabbed it and told the others it was fake. During the scuffle, the residents were able to pull the ski masks off two of the suspects - a white male and a black female who had been at the home in the past.

During the scuffle, the homeowner suffered a hit to the head that left a bruise.

The suspects then ran out the door.

Police say the residents were able to identify the female suspect and they are currently looking for her.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police.
