Martinsville Teacher Named Outstanding Art Educator Of The Year

(MARTINSVILLE) - Martinsville resident and teacher Chapin Schnick has been named the Outstanding Art Educator of the Year by the Art Education Association of Indiana.

The organization also recognized Schnick as Outstanding Elementary Art Teacher for 2017.

Schnick teaches at Charles L. Smith Fine Arts Academy in Martinsville.

In early October, the school was selected as recipient of a $2,500 InstaGrant at the inaugural Indiana Arts Homecoming in Indianapolis.

Schnick represented the school at the Arts Homecoming and accepted the award.
