(BEDFORD) - A 51-year-old Heltonville man was injured after a two-vehicle crash on John Williams Boulevard on Friday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, Robert Hillenburg suffered an abrasion to the head and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

According to police, Hillenburg was traveling west on John Williams Boulevard in a 2002 Chevrolet Impala, near Beech Street, at the same time 74-year-old Robert Collins of Bedford was driving a 2018 Chrysler Town and Country east on John Williams Boulevard.

Collins told police Hillenburg's car crossed the center line and struck his vehicle. A witness, who was traveling behind Collins, confirmed Collins' statement to police.

Police say possible drugs or medications were affecting Hillenburg's physical state. He consented to a blood draw, which is pending.
