Carlisle Man Charged After Crashing Semi Into House

(SULLIVAN) - A Carlisle man has been charged with possession of meth in connection with an accident on November 12th in Sullivan in which he drove his semi-tractor into a house.

59-year-old Daryl Shorter was also cited for driving while his driver's license was suspended.

Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom says the homeowner narrowly escaped serious injury.

"She was sitting only a few feet away from where the semi-tractor crashed into her living room," he added.

Shorter was released from the Sullivan County Jail after posting bond.
