Bedford Community Gives Record Donations During Stuff a Bus

(BEDFORD) -The Bedford Community gave a record number of food donations during Stuff A Bus- an annual food drive that benefits L.I.F.E Food Pantry.

Stuff A Bus was presented by TriStar Engineering.

L.I.F.E Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance every 30 days and emergency rent or mortgage/utility assistance to those in need in Lawrence County. L.I.F.E. Food Pantry distributes over 12,000 items every month to families in need in Lawrence County.

The event, hosted by 1340 AM WBIW as well as Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK and Z102 WPHZ with the help of the Transit Authority of Stone City (TASC), was able to raise 9,227 items at the Bedford Walmart and Jay C Foods. This effort was all thanks to the those who donated and volunteers from TriStar Engineering and Dave Pace of Day and Carter.

L.I.F.E. Food Pantry is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was started in 1987. It is a cooperative ministry supported by over 40 churches throughout Lawrence County.

The 25th Annual Christmas FANTASIA is Saturday, December 2, 2017 Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County. The event is a fundraiser for the organization where attendees can bid on decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces or other Christmas items. The proceeds will help provide food or emergency funds for those in need this Christmas and winter.

The doors open at 9 a.m with the auction following at noon.
