(BLOOMINGTON) - Authorities in Monroe County are investigating the death of a person who was found in a house fire on Saturday morning.
The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Melissa Schmidt.
The cause and manner of her death is pending as the county corner awaits toxicology results.
Schmidt's body was found inside the home in the 8900 block of Lewis Lane.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Indiana State Fire Marshall's Office. At this time, it is not believed that there was any foul play.
