Last updated on Tuesday, October 31, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested a woman they say entered the Speedway in the 3930 block of West Third Street on Sunday armed with a gun and robbed it.

Police arrested 33-year-old Lawanda Johnson on charges of robbery, theft, pointing a firearm at another person, intimidation and possession of a controlled substance.

Police say just before 7 a.m. Johnson covered her face with a scarf and pulled the fur-trimmed hood on her coat over her head and entered the station, showed the clerk a handgun and demanded all the money from the register.

She then fled the store with about $140.

No one was injured during the armed robbery.
