(BEDFORD) - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident on Grade Road on Monday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 18-year-old Cole Hudar of Orleans was traveling east on Grade Road, south of State Road 158. Police say he was traveling too fast on the wet roadway, rounded a curve, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Hudar suffered bleeding to his face. He refused treatment at the scene, but later went to the hospital for treatment.

His passenger, 19-year-old Adam England of Shoals, suffered internal head injuries and was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

The men were not wearing seat belts and both were issued citations for the offense.
