State Road 37 Mainline Traffic Shift Begins Tonight, Both Northbound And Southbound Travel Lanes Impacted

Last updated on Tuesday, October 31, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - INDOT alerts motorists traveling through the I-69 Section 5 construction zone that on or about 10 p.m. tonight, southbound traffic on State Road 37 will be shifted onto a single lane of the newly constructed southbound lanes. The shift will occur just south of Chambers Pike and will continue until crossing back over to existing lanes near Sample Road.

Access for Nature's Way and the Circle K gas station will be via the Wayport/Sample detour, north of Sample Road.

The crossover will allow for roadway improvements and shoulder work on the new northbound lanes of I-69 and will be in place until approximately Nov. 19, 2017.

During this time, the right lane of northbound State Road 37 from Sample Road to Chambers Pike will be restricted to allow for shoulder improvements and road widening.

The lane shift on southbound State Road 37 and the lane restriction on northbound State Road 37 are needed to realign the new northbound lanes of I-69.
