Last updated on Thursday, October 19, 2017

(BLOOMINGTON) - Police are investigating two alleged rapes that were reported Sunday.

An 18-year-old woman told Bloomington police that she was raped after a party Friday night. The woman says she and a male were messaging back-and-forth on a dating site and then decided to go to some parties together.

At the parties, the two drank vodka and became intoxicated. The woman told police she was too inebriated to give the man consent.

After reporting the incident, the woman went to IU Health Hospital for a sexual assault exam.

A 19-year-old Indiana University student reported to IU police she was raped early Sunday morning at a home in the 300 block of North Park Avenue.

The woman says the man was an acquaintance. She says the alleged rape happened sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. Sunday, but didn't report the crime until 1:42 p.m.

Both cases remain under investigation.
