Orleans To Usher In Autumn With Fall Fun Fest In The Park Saturday

(ORLEANS) - The Orleans Chamber of Commerce will usher in the autumn season on Saturday, October 14th with its Annual “Fall Fun Fest in the Park” in downtown Orleans.

The chamber is once again planning to host many fun fall family type activities that will center in and on Historic Congress Square (Town Park.)

Admission is free.

Events include 5K Run/Walk, Orange Co. Homegrown Harvest Fair, pet costume parade, arts and crafts vendors in the park, bounce houses for the kids, corn hole tourney, The Great Chili Cook-Off, children's activities, live entertainment, food and more.

This year's Great Chili Cook-Off contest will be held at the Orleans Town Hall.

Participants wanting to enter the competition should bring a crock-pot full of hot chili to the town hall between 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.that Saturday. Judging gets underway at 9:30 a.m. and must include a recipe listing all ingredients.

The contest is open to everyone and free to enter.
